|A Demon Once Removed|
|Air Date||15 March 2012|
|Episode Length||34 min|
The first in a six-part series from author Tim Prasil, presenting all-new anthology tales that take us on a tour of endless worlds of the imagination. This week, a remarkable new invention gives a chance for last goodbyes... but is that a blessing, or a curse? One family finds out as they meet... A Demon Once Removed.
Jacob, Don's grandfather
Nicole, the funeral home trainee
Funeral Home Representative
Jason, Don's son
Don McElroy's mother very recently passed away. The representative of the funeral home offers him a device--a box with a button--that will let him have a final conversation with his mother. Given Don's habit of placing blame, should he press that button?
DON: Did you just say 'harken'? If I may ask, where are you from?
FUNERAL HOME REPRESENTATIVE: Oh, up . . . north?
JASON: I said you need to let her go! Now!
JACOB: Or what? Believe me, she don't need the Lone Ranger. Doin' fine on her own!
NICOLE: If we're gonna shoot him, I want to do it! Seriously, I want to shoot him!
Diane mentions that she heard about "the box with a button" on the radio. A radio promo for a news story on such a device is heard in "Remembering the Martians," another Marvellous Boxes play produced by Decoder Ring Theatre.
