This episode introduces Baboon McSmoothie, a native of the original, silly, "Alternate Universe" Red Panda Mini-Series. His regular-universe counterpart, Brian McSweeney, is first mentioned in Nightshade and first appears in The Eyes of the Idol.
This episode takes place in the early spring of 1936. The Red Panda is about 27 years old, and The Flying Squirrel around 22[1].
